Over the past 35 years David Meade has been employed to provide an array of clinical and managerial services in a variety of health care settings. David obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of Kentucky and a Masters Degree in Counseling and Rehabilitation from Marshall University. He is a lifelong resident of Kentucky. He currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for the Boyd County Public Schools Foundation for Children, Inc. He is a member of the Tri County Local KY- ASAP Board, Kentucky Counseling Association (KCA), and the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselor. Other than professional associations David Meade is also a member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association, a member of a Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shiners International.

David has been employed with King’s Daughters Health Systems for the past 20 years and currently serves as the Program Manager for Behavioral Health Services. He manages a 27-bed adult, acute, psychiatric in patient program on the Behavioral Medicine Department, and manages the Employees Assistance Services through the Department of Occupational Medicine. He has provided clinical and consulting services for Ashland Integrative Medicine since 2014.

David advocates on a state and national level for policies that will promote the science that will positively affect the outcomes of patients and clients he serves. He is grateful for the opportunity he has had to serves others and to promote the professional services needed to address mental health and substance use disorders.
