About Tuesday Allen, BA, TCM
I grew up in small towns throughout West Virginia. I love this region and there is no other place I would rather be. However, from a young age I started witnessing the struggles of individuals battling addiction. I took my studies seriously growing up, knowing early on that I wanted to make a difference and help others. As a junior in high school I decided that I wanted to work in substance use recovery. After finishing high school I moved to Huntington, West Virginia and went to Marshall University. There, I completed my Bachelor Degree in Psychology.
While in college I gained experience as a Behavioral Rehabilitation Specialist, working with individuals diagnosed with varying types and severities of mental illness. After receiving my bachelor degree I was promoted to a case manager position, managing a long term recovery program. I also assisted with other long term and short term recovery programs providing individual and group supportive intervention counseling as well as extensive case management services.
I eventually moved positions and worked within the juvenile system. While I enjoyed my time helping to guide youth in the right direction, I dearly missed working in the field of substance use recovery. This led me to AIM Behavioral Health. I am honored to be a part of the AIM Behavioral Health team, as I could not imagine working for a better company.
AIM is a place where everyone, employee or client, is truly accepted and cared about and I could not be more appreciative to have the opportunity to work for an organization that has such a positive impact on our community and helps so many individuals.
